Mouthwatering


Tourmaline, the birthstone for October, has more varied colors than any other gemstone. With more than 100 hues available, tourmaline is an extremely complex borosilicate that occurs in every color. Scientifically, tourmaline is not a single mineral, but a group of minerals related in physical and chemical properties. Therefore a range of chemical compositions occur and many individual crystals show zones of multiple colors. Although red, green and multicolored are its most famous colors, tourmaline's can resemble almost any other gemstone. From the most rare and exquisite Paraiba, Rubellite and Cat’s eye varieties, to the unique watermelon, bi-color and chrome specimens, tourmaline is truly is a wondrous and fascinating stone!
