Autumn Zest

"A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air." (Eric Sloane)

Beautiful Lemon Citrine and Whisky Quartz gemstones uniquely faceted to reflect the season are set as though they are gentley falling leaves. If you have a zest for this this time of year and all of it's splendor you will love this collection!

"November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."

"The Word Plum"
By Helen Chasin

The word plum is delicious

pout and push, luxury of
self-love, and savoring murmur

full in the mouth and falling
like fruit

taut skin
pierced, bitten, provoked into
juice, and tart flesh

question
and reply, lip and tongue
of pleasure.

Bountiful Harvest

There is nothing quite like this time of year. "When the trees their summer splendor change to raiment red and gold, when the summer moon turns mellow, and the nights are getting cold; When the squirrels hide their acorns, and the woodchucks disappear; Then we know that it is autumn, loveliest season of the year." (Carol L. Riser, Autumn) It is as if all of nature is waiting to energize your soul with its most intricate art forms.

Harvest time marks the end of the growing season and is the focus of many seasonal celebrations. Celebrate this Bountiful Harvest of pearls in designs inspired by the season.

"There is music in the meadows, in the air --
Autumn is here;
Skies are gray, but hearts are mellow,
Leaves are crimson, brown, and yellow;
Pines are soughing, birches stir,
And the Gipsy trail is fresh beneath the fir.

There is rhythm in the woods, and in the fields,
Nature yields:
And the harvest voices crying,
Blend with Autumn zephyrs sighing;
Tone and color, frost and fire,
Wings the nocturne Nature plays upon her lyre."
~William Stanley Braithwaite, Lyric of Autumn
